Kadampa Meditation Centre Hong Kong (KMCHK) was established by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso as a non-profit organization and member of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT). Geshe Kelsang was born in Tibet and studied extensively in the great monastic universities where he earned his "geshe" degree. In 1976 he was invited to teach in England and has since founded 1100 NKT centers throughout the world. His purpose for creating KMCHK is to spread Kadampa Buddhism in Hong Kong in order to help people find peace and happiness in thier lives.
The resident teacher of KMCHK is Venerable Gen Kelsang Tonglam. He is currently teaching a series of meditation and buddhism programs. These programs are for all levels of interest and experience.
