About the Event
We are pleased to invite you to the Open Day of our new meditation centre in Sheung Wan on Sunday 29 November. Thanks to the blessings of our Spiritual Guide and the support of the KMC HK community, we have created a real sanctuary in the heart of this bustling city, where Kadam Dharma will continue to flourish. Please join us in inaugurating our new home with a guided tour and meditation, followed by the Wishfulfilling Jewel puja in the evening.
In compliance with COVID-19 social distancing measures, we are required to restrict physical visitors at half capacity (maximum 60 people per session). For this reason, if you wish to join in the festivities in person, online reservation is required and please kindly reserve one of the following two sessions so that more people can visit our new centre. You will receive a confirmation email after your reservation is accepted.
For those who prefer to stay home, your participation online is still much appreciated: all activities will be live-streamed via our Facebook page .
Our new location:
1st Floor, Harbour Commercial Building, 122-124 Connaught Road Central, Sheung Wan (Exit C of Sheung Wan MTR station)
Schedule of activities:
Guided Tour + Meditation (in English)
11:00am – 12:00pm
Meet our resident teacher, Gen Kelsang Tonglam, and the volunteering team and enjoy a guided tour of our new centre, in particular the symbolism of the statues and the eight auspicious signs, as well as an overview of our classes and activities. The tour will be followed by a guided meditation.
Wishfulfilling Jewel puja with Tsog Offering (chanting in English)
5:30pm – 6:45pm
Join us for a chanting prayer requesting blessings from our Dharma Protector for protecting our sanghas and centre and for flourishing Kadam Dharma in HK. This is the most auspicious way to give our new spiritual home a “housewarming”!
We thank you for being a part of our community and hope to see you at our centre soon!
