Updates on our Live Streaming

KMC HK have been temporarily offering livestream classes, special events, and pujas in response to the unusual circumstances of the Covid pandemic, providing the opportunity for people to stay connected with meditations, teachings and prayers from their home.

Starting from 1 September 2022, we will be reducing online availability and returning to in-person attendance at classes, special events, and pujas. There will remain some opportunities to attend online for those unable to attend in-person for reasons such as personal disability, long-distance travel or unable to fulfil the Vaccine Pass requirement.

The Importance of a Spiritual Community

There is no better way to connect to Buddha’s teachings than in person.

Gathering together at the Dharma Centre to listen to and meditate on Dharma teachings is very important. It is a special way to receive help and support from our Sangha friends and to make our Dharma communities stronger.

Venerable Geshe-la says: “Living beings receive ultimate benefit from both Buddhadharma and Dharma Centres. The development of Dharma knowledge, Dharma experience and Dharma realizations all come from Dharma Centres. Therefore, they are the source of all happiness and are extremely precious, like priceless jewels that bestow ultimate benefit.”

Also from his book Modern Buddhism, Venerable Geshe-la says: “We should also join group prayers, known as ‘pujas’, organized by Buddhist Temples or Prayer Halls, which are powerful methods to receive Buddha’s blessing and protection.”
