4 April 2026 is New Kadampa Tradition Day!

Everyone is welcome to join us for the 24-hour Tara puja on 4-5 April to celebrate this auspicious day.

On the first Saturday of April each year, we celebrate the NKT Day, which commemorates the founding of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU) by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in 1991.

To celebrate this upcoming NKT Day, we shall be holding a 24-hour chanted prayer to Buddha Green Tara. May the virtues accumulated from paying homage to Venerable Arya Tara be dedicated to the flourishing of Kadam Dharma throughout the world so that all living beings will quickly find permanent inner peace. We also remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in founding the NKT-IKBU.

Everyone is welcome to join us for all or any of the sessions. If you would like to stay overnight at the Centre, please bring a sleeping bag. The prayers will be chanted in English. Please bring your own Liberation from Sorrow sadhana or you can purchase the sadhana at the Centre.
